Texas baseball has outside chance of hosting an NCAA regional – Austin American-Statesman

With Texas clinging to hopes of hosting an NCAA Regional entering next weekend’s regular-season Big 12 series finale against Kansas, D1Baseball.com managing editor Kendall Rogers assesses UT’s status on this week’s On Second Thought podcast.
The Horns are 35-17 overall but sit in sixth place at at 11-10 in the Big 12. They’re 18th in RPI and need to win big against Kansas and a nice showing in the conference tournament to improve their chances of hosting.
