ANN ARBOR, MI — The Ann Arbor YMCA is offering members of the community food, live music — and hopefully an overall good time.
The organization will host its annual block party Saturday, June 25 from 2-6 p.m. The event will take place in front of the Ann Arbor YMCA located at 400 West Washington St.
“It’s an opportunity for the Y to not only engage and collaborate with local partners but also give back to the people that we serve, offer them the opportunity to come together with those resources and as a community,” said James Highsmith, VP of Membership and Marketing at the Ann Arbor YMCA.
The block party is free and offers participants with an array of activities: lawn games, arts and crafts, a food truck, karate and cycling classes, free bicycle tune-ups and more.
“Our staff team welcomes our neighbors from throughout Washtenaw and Southern Livingston Counties to join us for this family-friendly celebration of summer,” Ann Arbor President and CEO Toni Kayumi said in a statement.
YMCA Collaborators include:
Ann Arbor District Library
Ann Arbor Fire Department
Corndaddy (musical group)
Fed Up Food Truck
League of Women Voters
Local Balloon Artist
