The Alabama men’s basketball team has begun to find its true identity over the past few years under head coach Nate Oats. One of the main reasons is because of his ability to recruit some of the most promising recruits from across the country. One of those recruits is 2023 guard Davin Cosby Jr.
Recently, he told HoopGate via Twitter that he had locked in an official visit to Alabama for Sept. 3. He also mentioned taking an official visit to Wake Forest on July 29. Since the beginning of July, his recruitment has picked up tremendously.
When speaking with Patrick O’Brien of Phenom Hoop Report, here is what Cosby Jr. said when asked what programs stay in contact consistently:
“Alabama and Wake Forest contact the most.”
The Crimson Tide recently offered Cosby Jr. back on July 9, 2022. His recruitment has taken off, but a decision is also expected by January. He also had this to say when speaking with O’Brien:
“I’m going to cut my list on August 21, my birthday. Planning to announce my commitment on January 11, my dad’s birthday.”
Alabama fans will have to keep an eye on his recruitment over the next few months.
