Centennial Park to host live music Friday night – Midland Reporter-Telegram

Looking to get out of the house and soak up the last rays of summer but don’t want to get too sweaty? Head downtown to Centennial Park for a family-friendly dose of live music Friday starting at 7 p.m. and playing until 9 p.m.
Part of the park’s summer Music in the Park series, the night will showcase local dance band Brother Z. Bringing a classic mix of rock and electric soul funk, the trio — made up of vocalist and guitarist Bo Zertuche, drum man Josh Goates, and Jeremy James on vocals and bass — provide an exciting and encompassing show for all involved, so make sure to pack your dancing shoes.
Mi Cocinita will be located at the corner of Wall and Colorado from 5 to 10 p.m,, serving up tacos and more. Make sure to take a picnic blanket, lawn chairs and good vibes. Prohibited items include alcohol and glass containers, and dogs will not be allowed on the grass.
This will be the second to last showing in the Music in the Park series, the last being on Aug. 19.
