Cass City to host community stroll – Huron Daily Tribune

This is the first community stroll/walk the village is putting on.
Get your strollers, wagons and walking shoes ready, as the village of Cass City is hosting a Stroller Stroll on Saturday, Aug. 6 from 10-11 a.m.
The stroll will take place along the recreational walking trail going through Cass City and is an opportunity for families to go outside for walk.
“This program designed for parents to take their children outside and walking,” Parks and Recreation and Economic Director Abigail Burlingame said.
Kids and younger families are encouraged to come out, take a walk, and enjoy the outdoors. Strollers, wagons and any bikes are welcomed to ride along the path. There will be a chance to see the outdoors, including some wildlife of frogs and other animals.
This is the first community/city walk that has been put on in Cass City. The inspiration came from the Chippewa Nature Center, and there is hope that there are more things like this done in the future.
“We’ll see who wants to do another and if there’s interest in another stroll,” Burlingame said.
There is no registration for the event, as families that are planning to attend are advised to meet at McDonald’s parking lot to meet with everyone.
“I hope to do another maybe along Main Street,” Burlingame said. “I’m excited to see the group that comes in and takes a stroll with us.”
