Kent State Geauga and the GLBT Historical Society will be hosting an interactive presentation on “Performance, Protest and Politics: The Art of Gilbert Baker” from noon to 1 p.m., Oct. 7, via Zoom.
This presentation will explore the life and work of Gilbert Baker and the creation of the Rainbow flag. The presentation will also emphasize Baker’s “intuitive understanding of the ways art can serve as a powerful means to address political and social issues” and blur “the lines between artist and activist, protester and performer,” according to a news release.
