DETROIT — The Detroit Red Wings will look to win their third straight game on Monday night when they host the Los Angeles Kings. Puck drop from Little Caesars Arena is set for 7 p.m., with broadcast coverage on Bally Sports Detroit and the Red Wings Radio Network (97.1 The Ticket in Detroit).
In Saturday’s 5-2 road win over the New Jersey Devils, five different players scored for Detroit (2-0-0; 4 points), while Alex Nedeljkovic made 37 saves, including 21 in the second period. Now, the Red Wings will look to play with that “maturity” against Los Angeles (1-2-0; 2 points).

“There’s been a commitment in these six periods to play and do things the right way,” Lalonde said. “The third period was our best period, which is a great sign. We got above pucks, managed the puck and committed to get back to the scoring area.”
Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin praised the fresh faces in the lineup, describing how their impact is already being felt both on and off the ice.
“The depth is better,” Larkin said. “It’s exciting. I really believe that last year, a game like that, we would have been a lot closer but our veteran leadership guys that have been in big situations throughout their careers stepped up vocally.”
The Kings enter Monday coming off a 7-6 win against the Minnesota Wild on Saturday. Los Angeles raced out to an early 3-0 lead and held on, with Adrian Kempe collecting three points (2-1-3) and Gabriel Vilardi and Alex Iafallo each recording a goal and an assist.
Detroit and Los Angeles will play once more this season, squaring off at Crypto.com Arena on Nov. 12.
After Monday’s morning skate, Lalonde said Tyler Bertuzzi will be out approximately 4-6 weeks because of an upper-body injury.
“Obviously a tough loss,” Lalonde said. “With (Robby) Fabbri also out, that’s two top-six guys out and arguably two first-liners. But that’s why you have the depth.”
Bertuzzi sustained the injury after blocking a shot early in the second period in Saturday’s win over the Devils.
Lalonde added that Jakub Vrana will not be available against the Kings due to personal reasons.
