East Stroudsburg University hosting MLK art exhibit – Pocono Record

East Stroudsburg University’s Madelon Powers Gallery will host a special Martin Luther King, Jr. gallery exhibition featuring the artwork submitted for the Julianna V. Bolt Art Contest.
The exhibition will be open from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday.
The contest, held each year in conjunction with ESU’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Breakfast, gives local high school students an opportunity to share artwork that reflects their interpretation of the theme of the program. This year’s theme is “I Have a Dream” – 60 Years Later.

While the winners of the contest will be recognized during the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Breakfast at 8 a.m. Monday at the Stroudsmoor, all 55 pieces of art submitted to the contest will be on display in the Madelon Powers Gallery during the exhibit.
The gallery, which is open to the public at no cost, is located in ESU’s Fine and Performing Arts Center, Normal and Marguerite Streets in East Stroudsburg.
